 Пещеры Мегхалая - это более 1500 известняковых и песчаниковых пещер, располагающихся в штате Мегхалая, Индия. Пещеры расположены по всей территории штата. Среди самых выдающихся из них Крем Мавмлух, Крем Филлут, Крем Лиат Прах, а так же множество других. Естественные геологические формирования, живописные холмы и гипнотическая красота долин создают уникальный фон для исследования флоры и фауны области. Слово «Крем» означает пещеру на местном языке кхаси. В Холмах Джаинтия находятся Крем Лиат Прах, самая длинная, более 22 километров, и Синранг Памианг, самая глубокая, около 317 метров ниже уровня моря, пещеры на всём полуострове Индостан. При этом, далеко не все из пещер штата изучены и открыты для посещения туристами. Известняковые пещеры Мегхалаи служат домом для большого разнообразия видов летучих мышей, многие из которых достаточно редкие. Кроме того, здесь водится более 250 видов бабочек. По состоянию на март 2015 года в Мегхалайе было обнаружено 1580 пещер, из которых 980 пещер были полностью или частично исследованы, общая длина исследованных пещер 427 километров.

 Caves of Meghalaya  are more than 1500 limestone and sandstone caves located in the state of Meghalaya, India. The caves are located throughout the state. Among the most outstanding of them Krem Mawmluh, Krem Liat Prah, as well as many others. Natural geological formations, picturesque hills and hypnotic beauty of the valleys create a unique background for the study of the flora and fauna of the region. The word «Krem»  means a cave in the local language of Khasi. In the Jaintia Hills there is the Krem Liat Prah, the longest, over 22 kilometers, and Synrang-Pamiang, the deepest, about 317 meters below sea level, the caves on the entire Hindustan peninsula. However, not all of the caves in the state have been studied and are open to tourists. Limestone caves Meghalai serve as a home for a wide variety of species of bats, many of which are rare enough. In addition, there are more than 250 species of butterflies. As of March 2015, 1580 caves have been found in Meghalaya, of which 980 caves have been fully or partially investigated, the total length of the investigated caves is 427 kilometers.
