 24 лютого цього року, в день, коли Росія розпочала вторгнення в Україну, російський військовий корабель «Москва» наказав здатися захисникам форту на острові Зміїний в Чорному морі. Судячи з аудіозаписів, український солдат нібито відповів: - Російський військовий корабель, іди до біса!

 СОЛІДАРНІСТЬ: Були різні версії того, що сталося далі і яка доля спіткала захисників, але ця подія все одно була увічнена на поштовій марці. Україна хотіла вшанувати пам'ять захисників острова окремою публікацією. За результатами конкурсу, організованого Укрпоштою, переможцем названо мотив марки Бориса Гроха: Український солдат "вказує пальцем" на військовий корабель "Москва".

 Декілька країн хотіли висловити солідарність з Україною на марках. Латвія була найранішою, з мініатюрним листом із трьох марок. Пізніше до них приєдналися Естонія, Австрія та Польща. Литва оголосила про випуск найближчим часом.

  Агентські компанії, які випускають марки від імені поштових адміністрацій низки країн, також підхопили хвилю «питань підтримки» для України. З них першими з'явилися Сьєрра-Леоне та Гайана, як із рядом марок, так і з мініатюрними поштовими листами дещо сумнівного характеру.

 Німецька місцева поштова компанія Brief und mehr також випустила марку на підтримку боротьби за волю України. Іншими словами, зрозуміло, що війна в Україні набирає обертів, зокрема, серед любителів марок.

Glory to Ukraine

 On February 24 of this year, the day Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine, the Russian warship Moskva ordered the defenders of the fort on Zmiiny Island in the Black Sea to surrender. Judging by the audio recordings, the Ukrainian soldier allegedly replied: - Russian warship, go to hell!

  SOLIDARITY: There were different versions of what happened next and what fate befell the defenders, but the event was still immortalized on a postage stamp. Ukraine wanted to commemorate the defenders of the island with a separate publication. According to the results of the competition organized by Ukrposhta, the motif of the stamp by Boris Groh was named the winner: Ukrainian soldier "points his finger" at the military ship "Moskva".

  Several countries wanted to express solidarity with Ukraine on stamps. Latvia was the earliest, with a miniature sheet of three stamps. They were later joined by Estonia, Austria and Poland. Lithuania has announced the release in the near future.

   Agency companies that issue stamps on behalf of postal administrations of a number of countries have also picked up the wave of "support issues" for Ukraine. Of these, Sierra Leone and Guyana were the first to appear, both with a number of stamps and miniature postal letters of a somewhat dubious nature.

  The German local postal company Brief und mehr also issued a stamp in support of the struggle for the freedom of Ukraine. In other words, it is clear that the war in Ukraine is gaining momentum, in particular, among stamp lovers.
