 Русский осетр или дунайский осетр (лат. Acipenser gueldenstaedtii) - рыба семейства осетровых, образует проходную и жилую формы. Длина тела - до 2,3 м (в среднем 110-130 см), вес - до 100 кг (в среднем около 12 -16 кг). Эндемик Понто-Каспийского бассейна. Распространен в водах Каспийского, Черного и Азовского морей. В Азово-Черноморском бассейне осетр образует стада: черноморско-кавказское (рионское), черноморско-украинское (днепровское) и азовское. С Черного моря заходит в Днепр и Дунай. В Украине очень малочисленный. Занесен в Красную книгу Украины.

 Russian sturgeon or Danube Sturgeons (Latin Acipenser gueldenstaedtii) - a fish of the sturgeon family, forms a continuous and residential form. It is widespread in the waters of the Caspian, Black and Azov seas. In Ukraine it is very small. It is listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

 Обыкновенный чоп (лат. Zingel zingel) - вид рыб из семейства окуневых. Тело удлинённое, цилиндрическое длиной до 45 см (обычно до 25 см), вес 200 - 300 г. Спинных плавника два. Ареал вида охватывает бассейн Днестра (верхнее и среднее течение), низовья Дуная, Прут, реки Закарпатья. Эндемик этих рек. Вид внесен в Красную книгу Украины.

 Common zingel (Latin Zingel zingel) - a species of fish from the family of Percidae. The body is elongated, cylindrical in length up to 45 cm (usually up to 25 cm), weight 200-300 g. Dorsal fin two.  Розовый пеликан (лат. Pelecanus onocrotalus) - крупная водоплавающая птица семейства пеликановых. Розовый пеликан - крупная птица массой 10-12 кг, длина крыла у самцов 70-75 см, у самок - 64-69 см, размах крыльев 1.7-2 метра. Пеликаны в основном держатся стаями. Питаются исключительно рыбой. Для охоты выбирают мелководные участки. На территории Украины в 1-й половине 20 века небольшие колонии розового пеликана существовали в низовьях рек, впадающих в Черное и Азовское моря. После Второй Мировой войны гнездования на территории Украины не наблюдалось, но начиная с 2000 года отдельные гнезда розового пеликана время от времени обнаруживаются сотрудниками Дунайского биосферного заповедника в украинской части дельты Дуная. На пролете и летом встречается в дельте Дуная и на придунайских водоемах (лиман Сасык, придунайские пресноводные озера), на лиманах в междуречье Днестра и Днепра, в районе Черноморского биосферного заповедника, у берегов Крымского полуострова. Занесен в Красную книгу Украины.

 Pink pelican (latin. Pelecanus onocrotalus) is a large waterfowl of the family Pelecanidae.
