 Локхид C-130J Супер Геркулес - военно-транспортный самолёт средней и большой дальности разработанный американской фирмой Локхид Мартин. C-130J - это комплексное обновление самолета предыдущего поколения Локхид C-130 Геркулес с новыми двигателями, кабиной экипажа и другими системами. C-130J - новейшая версия Геркулеса и единственная модель этого самолета которая находится в производстве. Внешне подобный классическому Геркулесу, J-модель отличается значительно обновленными технологиями. Эти различия включают в себя новые турбовинтовые двигатели Rolls-Royce AE 2100 D3, цифровую авионику и сокращенный экипаж.

 Военно-воздушные силы Индии в начале 2008 года приобрели шесть самолетов Локхид Мартин C-130J-30 Супер Геркулес стоимостью около 1,059 миллиарда долларов США для своих сил специальных операций. Все самолеты были поставлены в 2011 году, поступив на вооружение специально сформированной 77-й эскадрильи "Veiled Vipers", базирующейся на базе ВВС Индии Хиндон неподалеку от Дели. 27 декабря 2013 года правительства Индии и США подписали соглашение о приобретении еще шести военно-транспортных самолетов Локхид Мартин C-130J-30 Супер Геркулес. Стоимость поставки составит 1,01 миллиарда долларов США. Шесть самолетов поступили в новую эскадрилью которая базируется на базе ВВС Индии Панагар в Западной Бенгалии.

 Lockheed C-130J Super Hercules - medium and long-range military transport aircraft developed by the American firm Lockheed Martin. C-130J is a comprehensive upgrade of the previous generation Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft with new engines, crew cabin and other systems. C-130J is the latest version of Hercules and the only model of this aircraft that is in production. Externally similar to the classical Hercules, the J-model differs significantly by the updated technologies. These differences include the new Rolls-Royce AE 2100 D3 turboprop engines, digital avionics and a shortened crew.

 The Indian Air Force in early 2008 purchased six Lockheed Martin C-130J-30 Super Hercules aircraft with a cost of about 1.059 billion US dollars for its special operations forces. All the aircraft were delivered in 2011, having entered the arsenal of the specially formed 77th squadron "Veiled Vipers", based at the Indian Air Force Hindon near Delhi. On December 27, 2013, the governments of India and the US signed an agreement on the purchase of six more Lockheed Martin C-130J-30 Super Hercules military transport aircraft. The delivery cost will be 1.01 billion US dollars. Six aircraft entered a new squadron that is based at the Indian Air Force Panagarh in West Bengal.
